Yield

Privacy Policy

In short
Yield does not collect your personal information. There is no account, no tracking and no advertising, and what you do in the app stays on your phone.

Who we are

Yield is operated by Evan Olujimi Ojo (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at evanolujimiojo@gmail.com.

The short version

Yield is built so that we never receive information about you.

What is stored on your phone

To work, Yield saves a small amount of information in its own private storage on your device. It is never sent to us.

Numbers you type into the calculators are not saved at all; they are gone when you leave the screen.

Deleting Yield deletes all of this. If your phone backs up app data to your Apple or Google account, that backup may include it; that is handled by Apple or Google under your account, not by us.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally by your phone. We do not use a push notification service and we do not receive a device token or any other identifier. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone’s settings.

Calendar updates

To keep dates current without a new version of the app, Yield downloads the latest investment calendar from GitHub Pages, a file hosting service run by GitHub, Inc. This request contains nothing about you or how you use the app.

As with any website you visit, GitHub receives your IP address and basic technical information about your device as part of the connection, and may keep them in its server logs under the GitHub Privacy Statement. We do not receive or use this information.

Links to other websites

Yield links to official websites such as those of the DMO, CBN and NBS. When you open one, that website’s own privacy policy applies.

Children

Yield is intended for adults. Because it collects no personal information, it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have rights over personal data held about you, including the right to access, correct and delete it. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. The information on your phone is under your control: clear the app’s data or uninstall it to remove it.

If you have a concern, contact us, or the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Yield changes what information it handles — for example by adding accounts or analytics — we will update this policy and its effective date before that version is released, and tell you in the app.
