I did not get a reminder
Reminders are scheduled on your phone, at 09:00 your local time. If one did not arrive:
- Check that notifications are allowed for Yield in your phone’s settings.
- On Android, battery-saving features can delay or block reminders. Set Yield to “Unrestricted” (or turn off battery optimisation for it) in your phone’s battery settings.
- Open the Alerts tab and tap “Send test notification”. If that notification does not appear within a few seconds, the problem is a phone setting rather than the reminder.
- Check the alert is still listed on the Alerts tab. You cannot set an alert for a window that has already closed.
A date or rate looks wrong
Every event shows its official source and when we last checked it. Events marked “Expected” have not been published yet, so their dates are estimates. The official source always takes precedence over Yield.
If a confirmed date or rate differs from the official source, please email us with the event and what the source says, and we will correct it.
How do I actually buy a bond or T-bill?
Yield does not sell, hold or arrange investments. It tells you when windows open and what they involve.
For an FGN Savings Bond, contact a stockbroking firm appointed by the Debt Management Office as a distribution agent (the DMO lists them at dmo.gov.ng), or your bank’s investment desk. You will need your BVN and a bank account in your own name. For Treasury Bills, ask your bank’s treasury desk or a stockbroker. Each window’s detail in Yield lists the steps.
Is Yield connected to the government?
No. Yield is independent and is not affiliated with the DMO, the CBN, the NBS or any other government body. We compile the calendar from their official publications.
Does Yield give financial advice?
No. Yield is for education and information only. See the Disclaimer.
What data does Yield collect, and how do I delete it?
Yield does not collect personal information and has no account. Your alerts, lesson progress and settings are stored only on your phone. To delete them, clear the app’s data in your phone’s settings or uninstall Yield. There is nothing held on our side to delete. See the Privacy Policy.
